LOCATION

The city of Abu Dhabi is geographically located in the northeastern part of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula. Its neighbours are the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman and to the north borders the emirate of Dubai. It is located on an island less than 250 metres from the coast and is linked to the mainland by the Maqta and Mussafah bridges. A third bridge, designed by Zaha Hadid, is currently under construction. The bridges connecting Reem Island and Saadiyat Island are also under construction and should be completed by 2011.
